1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing, browsing, or using the Seer Sounds website (the "Website") and booking or engaging in any services offered by Seer Sounds (the "Services"), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use this Website or Services.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses or uses our Website or Services.

2. About Seer Sounds Services

Seer Sounds offers the following services:

  • 1:1 Private Sound Healing Sessions — Personalized sound healing integrated with therapeutic consultation

  • Group Immersions — Customized group wellness experiences using sound, mindfulness, music, and movement

  • DJ Services — Music curation and DJ services for events, celebrations, and wellness gatherings

  • Signature Experiences — Including Pulse & Pause and Sound & Self (6-week therapeutic group program)

All services are facilitated by Stephany Mejia, a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), sound healer, and DJ.

3. Nature of Services

3.1 Not a Substitute for Mental Health Treatment

Important: While sound healing and group immersions may support wellness and emotional regulation, they are not substitutes for mental health treatment, medical care, or psychiatric medication.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, severe trauma, or acute psychological distress, please contact:

3.2 Informational Content

Content on our Website, including descriptions of services and wellness information, is for educational and informational purposes only. It does not constitute medical, psychological, therapeutic, or professional advice.

You should not rely on Website content to diagnose, treat, or manage any health condition or mental health concern. Always consult with a qualified healthcare provider or licensed mental health professional for diagnosis and treatment.

3.3 Individual Results Vary

Results from sound healing, group immersions, and wellness services vary by individual. We do not guarantee specific outcomes, healing, or symptom reduction. Your experience depends on many factors, including your openness, participation, and individual circumstances.

4. Booking and Appointments

4.1 Availability and Scheduling

All appointments and services are subject to availability. We use best efforts to accommodate your preferred dates and times but cannot guarantee specific scheduling.

4.2 Booking Process

When booking a service, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, truthful information

  • Complete intake forms and consultations honestly

  • Disclose relevant health information, trauma history, or other factors that may affect your experience

  • Inform us of any physical limitations, medical conditions, or accessibility needs

4.3 Confirmation

Appointments are confirmed via email. Please check confirmation details for date, time, location, and any pre-session instructions.

4.4 Cancellation and Rescheduling

Client Cancellations:

  • Cancellations made 7+ days in advance — Full refund or credit toward future services

  • Cancellations made 3–7 days in advance — 50% refund or credit

  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance — No refund; payment retained

Rescheduling is subject to availability.

Seer Sounds Cancellations: Seer Sounds reserves the right to reschedule or cancel appointments due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances. We will provide notice as soon as possible and offer to reschedule or provide a full refund.

4.5 Late Arrival

Sessions begin at the scheduled time. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, the session may be shortened or rescheduled, and payment is still due.

5. Payment

5.1 Pricing Protection and Payment Terms

5.2 Payment Due at Booking

Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. By completing a booking, you authorize Seer Sounds to charge the agreed-upon service fee to your provided payment method.

5.2.2 Third-Party Payment Processors

If you book services through a third-party platform, marketplace, or payment processor (including but not limited to Eventbrite, Mindbody, Stripe, PayPal, or similar services), you are responsible for:

  • All fees associated with the third-party transaction, including processing fees, platform fees, or service charges imposed by that third party

  • Understanding the third party's terms, refund policies, and fee structures before completing your purchase

  • Seer Sounds is not responsible for third-party fees, and these fees are non-refundable even if your service is cancelled

Unless Seer Sounds explicitly notifies you in writing that we will cover third-party fees, you assume all financial responsibility for third-party charges.

5.2.3 Agreement to Terms and No Fraudulent Chargebacks

5.2.3.1 Binding Agreement

By completing a booking and providing payment information, you:

  • Acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these Terms of Service

  • Confirm that the payment is authorized by the cardholder or payment account owner

  • Understand the pricing, service description, and cancellation policy outlined on our Website

  • Agree that you are voluntarily purchasing this service with full knowledge of what is included

5.2.3.2 No Fraudulent Chargeback Claims

You agree that you will NOT dispute, contest, or file a chargeback claim with your credit card company, bank, or payment processor claiming the charge is fraudulent, unauthorized, or invalid.

Filing a fraudulent chargeback when you:

  • Knowingly booked and paid for the service

  • Received confirmation of your booking

  • Agreed to these Terms of Service

...constitutes fraud and breach of contract.

Consequences of Fraudulent Chargebacks:

  • Seer Sounds will pursue legal remedies to recover the full amount of the disputed charge plus associated costs

  • Repeated chargeback disputes may result in permanent removal from booking future services

  • You may be liable for Seer Sounds' legal fees and damages

5.2.3.3 Legitimate Payment Disputes

If you have a legitimate concern about a charge (such as duplicate billing, technical error, or unauthorized use of your payment account), contact Seer Sounds directly:

We will work with you to resolve the issue, investigate the charge, and process a refund if warranted—before you file a chargeback.

Do not contact your bank or payment processor first. Chargebacks damage our business and prevent us from serving our community.

5.2.4 No Refund for Non-Payment or Deposit Failure

5.2.4.1 Deposits Required for Booking

For certain services (including group immersions, organizational proposals, or events requiring advance planning), a non-refundable deposit may be required to secure your booking.

The deposit:

  • Reserves your spot and the facilitator's time

  • Is applied toward the total service cost

  • Is non-refundable if you cancel, regardless of reason

  • Must be paid to confirm your booking; without payment, your spot is not held

5.2.4.2 Full Payment Required for Service Delivery

Services will not be provided unless full payment (or the agreed-upon deposit + balance) has been received and processed.

If you:

  • Fail to pay the required deposit or full fee

  • Payment is declined or fails to process

  • Check or electronic transfer bounces

  • Payment is pending or incomplete at the time of your scheduled service

Your service will be cancelled, and you will not be entitled to a refund. You forfeit your booking slot, and Seer Sounds will not hold your spot for a rescheduled date.

5.2.4.3 Rescheduling After Non-Payment

If your service is cancelled due to non-payment, you may rebook only after:

  • Full payment for the original service is received

  • A new booking fee or deposit is paid in full

  • Availability is confirmed (no guarantee of your original time slot)

5.2.5 Pricing Accuracy and Authorization

You confirm that:

  • The name and payment information you provided match the authorized cardholder

  • You have the authority to authorize the charge

  • You understand the total amount being charged (including any applicable taxes or third-party fees)

  • The service description and pricing are clear and acceptable to you

If there is a discrepancy in pricing or a billing error occurs on our end, contact us within 7 days of the transaction to dispute it. After 7 days, we assume the charge was accurate and authorized.

5.2.6 Recurring or Auto-Billing Services

If you enroll in a recurring service (such as the 6-week Sound & Self program or monthly membership):

  • You authorize Seer Sounds to charge you on the agreed-upon schedule

  • Charges will continue until you provide written cancellation notice

  • You must cancel in writing at least 7 days before the next billing cycle to avoid charges

  • Cancellations are subject to our refund and cancellation policy (Section 4.4)

5.2.7 Currency and Exchange Rates

All prices are listed in [U.S. Dollars / your currency]. If you are paying from another country, your bank or payment processor may apply currency conversion fees or exchange rates beyond Seer Sounds' control. You are responsible for any currency conversion fees.

5.2.8 Price Changes

Prices are subject to change. Pricing in effect at the time you complete your booking applies to your transaction. Future bookings may have different pricing. We will notify you of significant price increases via email or Website updates.

5.2.9 Tax Responsibility

Depending on your location and Seer Sounds' tax obligations, sales tax or other applicable taxes may be added to your invoice. You are responsible for any applicable taxes on the service purchased.

Summary of Payment Protections

By booking and paying for Seer Sounds services, you agree that:

✓ You are responsible for all third-party fees unless otherwise stated in writing
✓ You will not file fraudulent chargeback claims
✓ You understand and accept the pricing and terms
✓ Services will not be provided without full or deposit payment
✓ You authorize the charge to your payment method

Violations of these payment terms may result in:

  • Denial of future service bookings

  • Legal action to recover disputed amounts

  • Referral to collections agencies

  • Permanent removal from Seer Sounds' client roster

5.2 Pricing

Prices are subject to change. Current pricing is available on fee sheet. Group and organizational rates are customized and provided in individual proposals.

5.3 Refunds

Refunds are issued according to the cancellation policy outlined in Section 4.4. Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days.

6. Conduct and Responsibility

6.1 Appropriate Use

You agree to use the Website and Services only for lawful, ethical purposes. You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information

  • Engage in harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior

  • Disrupt sessions or group experiences

  • Share confidential or personal information about other participants

  • Attempt to harm, manipulate, or exploit Seer Sounds or other participants

6.2 Physical and Emotional Safety

You are responsible for assessing your own physical and emotional capacity to participate in services. If you have physical limitations, injuries, or health conditions that may be affected by sound, movement, or group settings, disclose this during your consultation.

6.3 Substance Use

Participants must not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other substances during sessions. Participants appearing impaired may be asked to reschedule.

6.4 Respectful Participation

Group experiences and events require respectful, consensual participation. We maintain a trauma-informed, inclusive environment. Behavior that violates this (including harassment, discrimination, or non-consensual touching) may result in immediate removal without refund.

7. Confidentiality and Privacy

7.1 Clinical Confidentiality

Information shared during sound healing consultations, private sessions, or therapeutic group experiences is subject to clinical confidentiality and professional ethical standards for licensed clinical social workers.

Stephany Mejia, LCSW, maintains strict confidentiality regarding:

  • Health and wellness information

  • Personal disclosures

  • Mental health history

  • Trauma or grief-related discussions

Exceptions to Confidentiality: Seer Sounds may disclose information without consent when:

  • Required by law or court order

  • Necessary to prevent harm to you or others

  • You pose an imminent danger to yourself or others

  • Child abuse or neglect is suspected

7.2 Group Confidentiality

Participants in group experiences agree to maintain confidentiality regarding information shared by other participants. Information shared in groups stays within the group.

7.3 Recording and Photography

Sessions may not be recorded, photographed, or videotaped without consent. This protects the privacy and safety of all participants.

For group events or public gatherings, Seer Sounds may request permission to photograph or record for promotional purposes. Your participation implies consent unless you opt out in writing.

Recording and Photography by Seer Sounds: Seer Sounds may record or photograph group experiences, events, or DJ services for internal documentation, promotional, or social media purposes under the following conditions:

  1. No Attendee Identification — Any recording or photography used for promotion or social media will:

    • Feature only Stephany Mejia (the provider) and not attendees

    • Exclude faces, identifying features, or personal information of participants

    • Focus on the facilitator, instruments, ambient space, or activity (without capturing attendee faces or identifiable characteristics)

  2. No Exploitation or Unauthorized Commentary — Seer Sounds will:

    • Never use recordings or photographs to identify, name, or discuss individual participants on social media or in promotional content

    • Never share personal stories, health information, or details disclosed during sessions

    • Never exploit or misrepresent attendee experiences for marketing purposes

  3. Opt-Out Option — If you do not want to be present during any recording or photography:

    • Notify Seer Sounds in writing before your session

    • You may request to be excluded from any recording or photography areas

    • Seer Sounds will accommodate your request and ensure you are not captured in any promotional content

  4. Respectful Social Media Posting — If Seer Sounds posts about group events or experiences:

    • Posts will include only the provider and general atmosphere/ambiance

    • No participant faces, names, or identifying information will be shared

    • Posts will reflect the values of the group (trauma-informed, safe, collective care)

    • No tagging of participants but if collaborators are in agreement may tag them

  5. Limited Scope — Recording or photography is used only for:

    • Seer Sounds' official social media accounts and marketing materials

    • Documentation of the facilitator's work and expertise

    • Promotional content that respects participant privacy and safety

Your Rights: By attending a group experience or event where recording may occur, you consent to Seer Sounds recording or photographing only the facilitator and the space—not you or other attendees. If you wish to explicitly opt out of being in the vicinity of any recording, contact us in writing before your session.

No Unauthorized Use: Seer Sounds will never use video or photographic content to:

  • Identify or discuss individual participants

  • Share personal health, trauma, or wellness information

  • Create misleading narratives about your experience

  • Tag or mention you on social media without explicit consent

  • Exploit your participation for engagement or commercial gain

8. Intellectual Property Rights

8.1 Website Content

  • Emotional distress or psychological harm resulting from services

Your sole remedy is a refund of fees paid, subject to our cancellation policy.

10.1 Physical Health

You represent that:

  • You are in good physical health and capable of participating

  • You have disclosed any relevant medical conditions, injuries, or physical limitations

  • You are not under the influence of substances

  • You take responsibility for your physical safety during sessions

10.2 Pregnancy and Postpartum

If you are pregnant or postpartum, you have:

  • Consulted with your healthcare provider about participation

  • Disclosed your pregnancy/postpartum status during intake- Only those in the third trimester may participate

  • Understood that certain sounds or movements may need to be modified

10.3 Sound Sensitivity

Sound healing and DJ services involve sound frequencies, music, and vibrations. If you have:

  • Hearing loss or sensitivity

  • Migraines or sensory conditions

  • Implanted medical devices affected by sound

  • Other sound-related concerns

You must disclose this during your consultation.

11. Third-Party Links and Services

Our Website may contain links to third-party websites, services, or resources. Seer Sounds is not responsible for:

  • The accuracy, legality, or quality of third-party content

  • Third-party privacy practices or terms of service
